Wedding photography agreement

This contract is effective from January 1, 2023 and applies to all agreements entered into with me, Claus Andersen, bryllupsbilleder.net, hereinafter referred to as “the photographer(s)” and the customer, hereinafter referred to as “the customer(s)”.

Terms and conditions
This contract obliges the customer to notify the photographer of any significant changes to the day’s program in reasonable time before the wedding, i.e. start times, addresses, etc. The photographer cannot be held responsible for any delays or no-shows due to lack of information. Should the photographer experience inappropriate, threatening or hostile behavior from people at the wedding, or in cases where the photographer’s health is at risk, the photographer reserves the right to terminate the collaboration with the client immediately.
The photographer is not responsible for non-coverage of parts of the wedding in case of events beyond the photographer’s control (force majeure). This includes, but is not limited to, misrepresentation of addresses, delays caused by the couple or the couple’s guests, weather, location restrictions, traffic conditions, road closures, accidents and theft. The same applies if, for example, photography during the ceremony is prohibited or similar.
In the event that the Photographer is unable to attend and complete the assignment as agreed in this contract due to injury, illness, an accident or other cause beyond the Photographer’s control, the Photographer will make every effort to find a replacement. In the event of the photographer’s cancellation, all amounts paid will be refunded to the customer or transferred to the photographer found as a replacement. This point is decided by the bride and groom.
When booking for weddings of 5 hours or more, the customer ensures that food and drinks are available for the photographer during working hours.

Image delivery
The photographer will sort, select and edit photos and then deliver:

1. Sneak peek: A small selection of highlights from the wedding day will be edited and delivered to the customer within 1-2 business days after the wedding.
2. The full gallery: The complete collection of edited photos will be delivered to the customer within 21 days after the wedding.

The delivery of photos will be via an online password-protected gallery that only the photographer and the customer have access to.

Payment
When booking, the customer fills out the form below and, by submitting it, has accepted the photographer’s contract and terms and conditions. Upon booking, an invoice for 50% of the full amount will be sent. Once this is paid, the photographer is formally booked – until then, the day is reserved for the customer. The balance, equivalent to 50% of the full amount, is payable no later than seven days before the wedding day (unless otherwise agreed or stated on the invoice).

In the event that the customer cancels with the photographer, the first payment (equivalent to 50% of the total amount) will be charged and if the cancellation occurs less than one month (30 days) before the wedding, the full amount will be charged. This should be seen as compensation for lost earnings. This point only applies if the bride and groom cancel of their own volition and not if they are forced to cancel due to external circumstances such as pandemics, epidemics or similar force majeure conditions.

Copyright and use of images
All images taken by the photographer are protected by copyright law. This means that the photographer has all rights to the images and they may not be copied, printed, altered or resold without the photographer’s written permission. The customer gets a limited right of use of the images, which means that the customer is free to print the images and share the edited images on social media and their own website, blogs, etc. It is not permitted to resell or use edited images for commercial purposes without written permission from the photographer. It is not allowed to change the edited images without the photographer’s permission.

As a wedding photographer, website and social media exposure is an integral part of a photographer’s work, so the photographer will want to take the opportunity to share a selection of the client’s wedding photos. Be it on your website, social media, wedding fairs, campaigns and photo contests. If there are specific images that the customer considers particularly private and does not want to be used by the photographer, please inform the photographer within two weeks of receiving the images. In such cases, the consent to use will not apply to the specified images. At the same time, I also understand that people want to keep it private and not be part of my portfolio. Should you not give general consent or choose to withdraw your consent, there will be an additional cost of DKK 2,500.

By submitting the contract form on weddingimages.net with your info, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the terms and conditions of this contract and agree to be bound by them.
